Faculty Appreciation Week (May 4th- 8th)

 

The PTO has a fun week planned for our wonderful faculty and we need your help to make it a success.  One tradition we do every year is to have coffee and Reilly’s donuts waiting for the staff when they arrive Monday morning.  We also will be hosting a luncheon on Wednesday and then having an ice-cream sundae bar on Friday afternoon.  Some ways that you can help are:

• Bringing in food items (fruit plates, cheese and crackers, veggie trays, muffins, cookies, etc.) for the staff to enjoy during the day
• Volunteering on Friday to help with classroom coverage while the teacher’s enjoy their sundaes
• Donate gift cards for a raffle we are going to try to do throughout the week (Target, Wal-Mart, Beach Bagel, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Panera Bread, etc. ).

March is PTO Spirit Month!

The Jameson PTO is hoping this will be a “Fun”draiser for the kids to help raise money for class field trips.

Each Friday in the month of March we will have a special theme for dressing up.  We are asking just a $1 donation each Friday that your student dresses up, all money will go directly to class field trips. We think that this will be a fun way to raise some money and further build the sense of school spirit at Jameson.  Here are what we have planned for each Friday:

Friday (3/6) – Pajama day!
Wear your favorite pajamas to school!

Friday (3/13) – Favorite team day!
Wear your favorite team’s shirt or jersey!

Friday (3/20) – Decorate your head day!
Crazy hair or hat, you pick.  Have fun with it!

Friday (3/27) – Seagull Pride day!
Wear your Jameson school shirt or Seagull colors (blue and white)!

Have fun and we can’t wait to see all the Jameson School Spirit in March!

Family “Early” Valentine Dance

We hope you can join us for our 2nd annual PTO dance. Our theme this year is an early Valentine’s Day dance! Wear your favorite red, pink, white or or just your favorite dancing clothes and join us for a fun night of music and dancing! We will have concessions for sale and a photo booth to add to everyone’s enjoyment!

Family Movie Night

 

Bring your pillows, comfy chairs, sleeping bags and wear your cozy pajamas for a night of relaxation and fun!

The Jameson PTO will be showing “Arthur Christmas” on the evening of Friday, December 12 from 6-8pm in the Jameson School Gym.  The cost is $3/pp or $10/family of four.  We will have popcorn, water and homemade baked goods to purchase as well.

Other Ways to Donate

Thank you to everyone who helped with our Yankee Candle Fundraiser.  We will update you in a few weeks with what our profit was and what we will use the money for, as always it will be something for all the wonderful students and staff at Jameson.  We do know that sometimes people don’t want to buy items from catalog fundraisers but still want to help the PTO in some way and that is why we have set up our very own PayPal account.  You can just donate whatever amount works for you and it will go directly to the PTO and back to the school.

Yankee Candle Fundraiser

Don’t forget our Yankee Candle Fundraiser ends Friday, 11/7. Please have payments and order forms submitted by then. This fundraiser helps raise money to pay for field trips, Mad Science programs and teacher supplies.

Box Tops Challenge

Wow! Look at all those BoxTops we have collected so far!

Keep an eye on the bulletin board at school for each classroom’s progress. Also, please remember to check the expiration dates and trimming is much appreciated! Don’t forget that since this is a class competition it is important to put your child’s teacher name on the bag/envelope.  Keep ’em coming!!

Annual Pumpkin Sale

Saturday, October 4 from 9am-1pm.

 

Please come out and support the Jameson Elementary PTO by buying pumpkins, corn stalks, mums and lots of delicious baked goods made by our wonderful Jameson families and staff.  We will have face painting, pumpkin painting, coloring contests and more!

We are trying something new this year. We are encouraging you to sign up for the Remind App. It is a way for us to communicate with you all on upcoming events, donation requests, etc., we think this will be a great form of communication.

It’s the start of what is sure to be another wonderful school year at Jameson Elementary.  We look forward to seeing new and old faces at our kickoff meeting on Monday, September 8 at 5:30pm in the teacher’s lounge.  One of our amazing first grade teachers, Miss Putnam, provides childcare during the meeting so come along and join us!
